Last week was NYFW, and while I could sit here and write a post reviewing the big shows, this fashion week I only attended a few smaller shows, and the bigger shows that I didn’t have the luxury of attending are reviewed by a number of professionals and attendees. (If you want to read that, direct your attention to sites such as Vogue).
Last week however, I did get the amazing opportunity to work for Form Show NYC. Form Show is an international trade show of highly selective, directional high end designers presenting their collections during New York Fashion Week.
The show was amazing, each of the designers had a unique image and distinctly eye catching designs. I worked from 9 am till 7 pm my first day. The day was fast paced, enlightening and I got to assist and work an eclectic series of tasks.
To begin my day I assisted various designers in visually merchandising their booths to convey their brands imagery in their booths. Shortly after that I connected with one of the owners of the event, Jenny, and I began doing administrative tasks, checking in potential buyers and organizing designers orders and note forms.
From there I took over running the social media (Instagram story and posting content). Later in the day I photographed and worked on putting together a look book for one of the designers. I worked on this look book the next day too making each piece was well photographed and that the look book had a cohesive flow to it.

I also had the privilege of trying online of the designers dresses from Ghost.
This is the type of experience I could only be given by living in NYC, and going out every day looking for opportunities. Every day is an opportunity to advance a career or elevate your life and I feel truly blessed for the opportunities in my life.
