This outfit was definitely a little out of my comfort zone but style is about constantly developing and changing. Because of the rise up of prints, especially in the style of gingham and plaids for the summer to fall transitional styles, I had to snag these amazing tweed style pants from my local thrift store for $8. Tweed is definitely a very heavy fabric so to fit them into a summer look I started by cuffing the ankles which gave the pants a nice texture. I wore bright blue espadrille lace up sandals because of how summery they are.
My shirt, if you can call it that, is a bandeau. Due to the high waistline of my pants I felt the barely there top was chic especially when I layered my lace and fringe off white kimono from Abercrombie over it. I tucked my belt down to give the eye another line to follow to contrast the horizontal lines created by the bandeau.
I wore my hair in a faux face frame, donned some circular sunnies, and my favorite Marc Jacobs purse for a day of shopping and walking around Soho Manhattan.
What do you think about these pants as a seasonal transitioning piece?
