Let’s be real guys, I am not an organized person, if you looked up scatter brained in the dictionary there would be a picture of a frazzled Anna with ten projects going on at once. However, one area I am not disorganized is my closet where everything is organized by color and texture, mostly color though. I thrive off of color and feel it’s one of the most important foundations to life, and having everything a certain way makes it easier for me to envision outfits.
For today’s post I broke down the colors in my outfit through a color board: wine, a dark red hued purple, off white, beige, burnt umber, and black. When I put a look together I’m always trying to work accent colors together such as the wine colored stitching in the hemlines of my shirt coordinating with the red hued purple of my thigh highs or the black/burnt umber color of my neck sash, forearm details and western booties. Having thematic colors through an outfit allows you to look more put together. Moreover, taking risks such as my suede button down skirt with a scalloped hemline lets you showcase certain pieces by having them contrast your colorscheme.
